Well, this may be a little out of order, but better late than never. We did celebrate New Year’s!! In fact, we initially had plans to go camping for five days at the beach (Long Beach…about 30 minutes away). However, after much consideration we opted out of the trip (mainly due to the fact that we have an active 2 ½ year old).
So, we decided to stay at home and invited several people over. We had our Aunt Kris and Uncle Nick over and another couple of friends (Jason and Raquel) with their 6 month old baby, Alex. We invited others, but due to last minute invitations and what-have-yous…our party consisted of six adults and two children. It was the perfect size. We ate taquitos, enchiladas, rice, beans, queso dip, salsa, artichoke dip, et cetera….and played games. Well, actually we played one game but for a long time (Apples to Apples).
We put the kids to bed around 10pm and then “partied” it down. Well, “partied” it down if your idea of a party is drinking some and playing games. We welcomed in the new year with some poppers and noise makers on the front lawn. Toasted with some inexpensive champagne and called it a night around 2am.
Happy 2007 to everyone!!!
