Disneyland or Bust...

Well, we started off our day really well. I went to the dentist and got a clean bill of health from them. Oh, I might want to use mouthwash twice a day for at least a minute each time...they told me that I might have to work up to a minute...are these people for real? I mean, thanks and I will do it (rinse with a mouthwash), but do we really need "the talk" about mouthwash. If you were there, you would have laughed at how serious this lady was. Sorry, I digress.

Well, when I return home, my boys are ready to go. Go? Where? DISNEYLAND, BABY!! I asked Grant, "where are we going?" His reply, "Didneyland." Yeah, that's right son. Oh, and Daddy gets to come today! Grant was excited because Scott gets to come today. Grant was also excited because Grandpa's side of the family was going with us; Aunt Debbie, Yvonne, Jennifer, Jessica, Chris, Jeremy and Lisa (yeah, she's Gramma's side, but she is like Grant's older sister, although I have been mistaken as her mother and Grant's Grandma??). Anyway, we were a big crew going to Disneyland.

When we first arrived, we met up with a friend that works for Disneyland, Tom. He was kind enough to get Scott in for free!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Tom (hence the above picture of Scott hailing to KING TOM)!! Grant said this morning when he was getting ready, "Daddy go to Didneyland too today Mommy." Hey, he might be 2 1/2 years old today...but he is one observant kid!

We did all kinds of new things, well new for me (and I think new for Grant). We went to the Tiki Room first and sang with the birdies. Then, it was off to eat. We ate in the French Quarter and I must say I was proud of Grant for eating his mac and cheese...he also tried my French Dip sandwich. Then, we went onto The Nightmare Before Christmas ride (it was cool...never been). Then, we went to Tom Sawyer's Island.

Grant's best ride today was going to Tom Sawyer's Island because he could run around and go inside of the caves. He kept saying, "Go in dis cave." It was so cute. There were a few caves that I had to thank God I didn't eat the chocolate cave or I wouldn't have been able to fit down...but thankfully, I had no dessert and was able to get out. lol

The island was fun and we rode the raft back over. We then went on the Pirate boat and took a tour of the Captain's headquarters. Grant was digging the boat and watched them fire off a canon. Then, we went on the Pirates of the Caribbean ride. He got a kick out of the cats and birds throughout the Pirates ride (which by the way, if you have ever been on it, that might be one in two thousand things you would notice as a subtle detail...not something to get super-excited about). What can I say, the kid loves animals. He was more impressed with a bum feeding his two cats, then with the canon seen where splashes of water came up by your boat. Go figure.

Then, we went to Toontown. He rode the Roger Rabbit ride and Carousel. We went to California Adventure and it started raining pretty hard. We called it a day and ate dinner at one of Grant's Great-Gramma's favorite restaurants called the Gustav's Jagerhaus. Oh, it was good. I've enclosed some pictures above for your enjoyment. Love!
