Christmas Stroll with "Auntie Gramma" on Friday, November 17th

Well, Christmas is around the corner...yeah, I know we haven't even gone through Turkey Day and already we are doing a Christmas Stroll. Well, all I have to say is forgive us, but it was fun!!!

Grant and I went to Gramma's house to meet her and Auntie Diney. Grant is now combining their names when we are all four together to "Auntie Gramma." He seems to understand that where there is Gramma, there is Auntie Diney and the reverse is true.

So, we all walked from Gramma's house to downtown where the stroll was located. When we arrived we first got on a carriage ride. Gramma lives in a town very similiar to Mayberry. So, there were horse-drawn carriage rides and caroling in the streets. All of the downtown stores were open with treats for all customers and holiday cheer. There was a wonderful Santa Claus (or two or three).

We ended up meeting up with our friend Susie and her brother, John. Grant took an instant liking to John and I think he felt like he had his own personal Santa escorting him throughout the town.

Two of Grant's favorite shops were the vintage car shop and the clock store. He couldn't get enough of these two stores. On our way back home, we stopped at a local church that had a train exhibit in the basement. We wanted to prep Grant for the following Sunday trip to see Thomas Train on tour. So, Grant and Gramma pointed at all the trains in the basement while Auntie Diney and I waved a fan around because it seemed like 100 degrees in this basement. haha

Grant was excited that we went on the stroll and couldn't stop telling Scott about it the next day. He told him about Auntie Gramma, the horsies, Jessica at the crayon shop (his cousin works at an art supply place), John and Susie holding his hand and the trains!! Oh, don't forget he did ask Santa for a white car for Christmas...don't worry, Gramma already bought him one.
