We Went Camping in May...Memorial Day Weekend

Okay, like I said we have done a lot, but I have been so busy with school and APU that I really am far behind. Here is another quick entry. One thing that we have discovered that Grant really loves is CAMPING. He likes to camp in the desert or at the beach or in wine country...he just loves to CAMP...so, I might go ahead and say that Shannon, Chloe and Matt, we will gladly meet you guys somewhere to camp!!! It is super fun. It is just too bad we live on opposites coasts. LOL

Anyway, this Memorial Day and the last two, we have been going camping with some old friends of ours. Scott and his friend Jerms (short for Jeremy) have known each other a long time. He and his family have been going to this same spot in the desert and camping on Memorial Day weekend for a LONG time!! We have gotten in on it the last couple of years and it is so much fun. I have never met a more friendly, happy-go-lucky group of people. We have a great time and there is always a lot of kids, all different ages.

Grant enjoyed playing games with his friends and yes, unfortunately riding quads. He actually ended up getting a much larger quad for his birthday from Scott's parents and my dad. He rode a quad right into someone's exhaust pipe which led to a series of ice packs and bandages. It was definitely bad enough to leave a scar...poor guy. It did not stop him from getting onto the quad again or riding it while looking off to the side. Yes, you got it. He looks to the side and drives it straight into things (and wonders why he is crashing). LOL
