Easter in Arkansas Part III

Coming back from Mulberry to J'ville...back to my family. Okay, so we went to several places with my Pops and our last night out to dinner with the family! Dad took Grant, Brit and I to Chuck E Cheese...Gman had fun! We went to a park in Little Rock and the new lock and dam. It was fun, except Grant had a bad experience. I was taking a picture of some beautiful birds flying across the dam...then suddenly I heard Grant crying and screaming. My dad moved faster than I had even seen him move and we both reached Grant at the same time. Grant had sat down in a pile of fire ants. We got them off but not without a few bites...poor boy. He was talking about the ants for over a month when he got back. Still today, if you mention Arkansas he says, "I love Arkansas but not the ants!"

Easter in Arkansas Part II

Grant and I traveled to Mulberry, Arkansas too! We went to see Aunt Phyllis, Uncle Doug and Aunt Eugena. We had a blast. Grant got to go to the family farm and see the cows, birds, and beautiful land. Aunt Phyllis had wonderful food for us and played all kinds of games with us. It was fun to watch Grant take over Aunt Phyllis' house and play her piano and singing. He felt at home and loved it. Grant and Aunt Phyllis even got on the floor and created a tent made of pillows. It was so much fun! Thanks for the fun, the games and the food!

Where do I start?

Well, it has been quite a long time since I last blogged, so I am having a hard time in blogging b/c I am asking myself....where do I begin? Where did I last end? You get the idea. So, my first blog will be about Easter 2008.

Grant and I went to visit my family and friends in Arkansas for Easter, so we celebrated Easter on Palm Sunday with Scott's side of the family.

Here is a pic of Grant and Emily at church.

And what is Easter without dying some eggs? Here are Lisa, Grandma, and Dad helping Grant dye his Easter Eggs...nice ears Scott & Lisa! LOL

Graduating!

I know this blog is about Grant, but I am taking the opportunity to let everyone know...I will be graduating with my Masters in Educational Technology in two days!! I will have one class that I will be finishing up, but my classmates and I will be walking on Saturday. I am very excited and had to share the news. I have been in a 15-month program at Azusa Pacific University! It has been a big change for me on two levels. First of all, the college is a private, Christian college. Secondly, it has been a program of complete professionalism and detailed attention to all of the people in the program.

I will be graduating with all honors...I am not sure what you call someone who has made straight A's, however, I do know I called my dad to tell him and he sent me money for my A's!! Thanks, Dad! LOL I told him it was just like old times. We had a good laugh. Then, he said his money was my "stimulus package" from him, just like Uncle Sam. LOL Good one, Dad!

True Story...But SAD

Okay, here goes...this guy and this girl go out on a date and meet Adam Carolla (talk show host, Love Lines, The Man Show, etc.). Anywho, they meet him, take pictures with him, and watch his movie The Hammer (which is THE BEST).

Next day, the couple are so excited about the meeting that the girl decides to show her mother-in-law the picture of the three of them (boy, girl and Adam Carolla)...the girl gets her son and goes to church. The girl lost her camera somewhere between Mom's house and church...True Story, But So Sad. :)....no posts until I can get a camera....still looking. I loved my Canon but I want to investigate a little more...plus, my dad might send me some replacement money (he felt really bad for me...thanks dad).

Disneyland with Grandma and Aunt Diney

Here is the second part of our photos from a fun-filled day at Disneyland. We had a great time and as usual, Grant asks the day after, "Can we go to Disneyland today, mom?" It is too funny. He wants to go every day...until he moves onto something else.
