They Say It's My Birthday...

Speaking of birthdays, well we all know that I turned 34 on Monday (like two Monday's ago)!! Whoop!! Whoop!! I am excited to say that I had the best birthday weekend!! It all started out with a trip to Disneyland on Friday after work!! I am excited to say that we had a good time and thankfully it didn't rain!!

Aunt Diney, Aunt Kris, Lisa, Tracy, Grant and I went to Disneyland. We got Diney to ride the Ferris Wheel!! That was great!! I will put a videoclip on the site, so you can see the terror in her eyes (she's going to kill us).

Saturday, I tried to get some work done in the morning. Then at 2pm...Gramma and Grandpa took Grant under their care. He stayed with them until Sunday evening. Scott and I went to a Patato restaurant for lunch/dinner. Then we went to the movies!! We started out with Alpha Dog and then we went to see the Departed...yeah, back-to-back movies!! It was great! I have been asked by many if we paid for both movies, but all I have to say is that "I plea the 5th." Hey, spoken like a true government teacher (even if I am new to the subject matter...I still know the basics). We then went home and watched some movies and had a nice evening in.

On Sunday (my brother's birthday), Scott took me to a brunch at a local Italian restaurant!! It was yummy!! Then we caught a pretty early movie of Dreamgirls...yet another good flick. We ran home and made the two cakes that Christi has made for me before on my birthday (thanks for the recipes...they turned out wonderful)!! We headed to Gramma and Grandpa's house because they had the family over for a birthday dinner. What was on the menu?? Glazed ham (my favorite), scalloped potatoes (my favorite), corn casserole (my favorite), broccoli and cheese casserole (yeah, my favorite)...I think you are getting the picture! IT WAS WONDERFUL!! We played Apple to Apples and ate and opened great gifts!! Thank you everyone for making my day special.

Monday, my acutal birthday was great too. I spoke to my brother, dad, Barb, Brittney, Sarah, Christi, and many others (thanks for the calls...it made me feel very special). Grant, Scott and I went to the Long Beach Aquarium. Then, we headed to some friends' house for a birthday dinner. Thanks Rachel, the chili and cornbread with the twice-baked potato was great!!!

Tuesday, well back to work. Don't be sad because the girls at lunch celebrated my birthday on Tuesday. It was like a five-day festival. I liked it a lot...who wouldn't?? The funny thing is that I've waited so long to blog this that my birthday was on the 12th and today is the 21st...you can do the math, but some kids at school announced yesterday on the intercom, "Have a Happy Belated Birthday Mrs. Graf Tuesday." So, yesterday was another day of Happy Belated Birthdays for me. Can it be possible for a birthday celebration to go on for 2+ weeks??

Well, all in all 34 has been good for me. I will try to post some pictures, but for now I better at least get this dialogue up. It might be March before you see pictures from February...the sad thing is that I am not kidding! :)

What does "nice evening in" mean?

Glad to hear you had a happy birthday and that you got in your yearly quota of movies in one weekend!
