Easter in Arkansas

Well, Grant and I spent our Easter in Arkansas thanks to Grandpa Gary and Granma Carol!! Thanks for the airplane tickets to Arkansas! I have to be honest, I was a little nervous traveling with Gman on two different planes in one day and about two hours each. I thought that he might be a little bit to handle...he slept the entire time on the first flight (literally the entire time). The second flight which was delayed by an hour was fine because he watched his dvd player the entire time...can I say EASY as cake.

We got to Arkansas and went on an Easter Egg hunt on Saturday morning at Uncle Paul and Aunt Jennifer's church which is St. Anne's Church. Christi and her two little ones (well, not so little anymore...my time flies) met us there. Tyler and Madeline seemed to enjoy themselves. Grant had a blast as well.

Inside the church they had face-painting and arts & crafts going on. The kids all were excited to play with playdoh, get their faces painted and wait for the festivities to begin (many of the kids waited anxiously by the door for the "hunt" to begin).

As you can see, the kids enjoyed themselves. Grant and Madeline were in the same age group for the Easter Egg Hunt. They ran around quickly picking up eggs. No telling how many eggs were laid down and how long it took someone to do it, but it took about one to two minutes for the kids to collect them all!! They are proficient at this task. In fact, Grant had to lead Grandpa Bill around the entire church looking for more. He told my dad, "Pweese, Grandpa Bill, pweese we wook for more eggs." It was so cute! I should be able to YouTube it later.

Wiggles or Bust!!

Kind of out of order b/c this is when the concert was over and we were all waving goodbye to our Wiggly band!!

This was on the way home...someone was exhausted!! Note the Big Red Car light!!

Granma and Grandpa loved the Wiggles!!!

So did Daddy!! Did Scott know it was the "Racing for the Rainbow" tour our was it just luck that he wore the tye dye...if you know Scott, then you know the answer to that!

Walking to Bubba Gumps...Grant didn't want to hold our hands..."No, Mommy! No, Daddy! I hold Gramma and Grammpa's hand." Okay!!!

Three generations of great guys!

Mommy, Grantly and Daddy at lunch...getting ready for the concert with a little Gump trivia. Daddy knew all but one answer. Mommy only knew one answer. I'm not sure which is better. LOL

The gang hanging out before the concert.

Everyone having a wiggly good time!

Granma and Grandpa bought us Wiggles tickets about four months ago. We didn't tell Grant until about two days ago!! He has been super excited. He LOVES the Wiggles...it's like cars and Elmo!! He is obsessed. The great thing about the Wiggles is that he can sing their songs...and he does. Well, today we headed for Universal Ampitheater and off to see the Wiggles. We ate at Bubba Gumps first and then headed on our Wiggly Way.

Grant got his first concert t-shirt. It's the Racing for the Rainbow tour. He also got a Wiggles cup, Big Red car light and Wiggle crayons!!

Here are a few pictures and a video is coming. Thank you Granma and Grandpa!!! You Rock!

Enjoy!

Video of Camping...Sing-A-Long!

Here is Grant singing a famous Wiggles song. See if you know it, pray you don't! LOL

Balboa Island and Newport Beach...Camping

Two peas in a pod!! What cuties!

Balboa Island/Fun Zone in the background!

For the three-day weekend (President's Day weekend), we went camping with Granma and Grandpa. We all took our RV's and headed for the beach. It is only about a 35 to 45 minute drive away, but it was getting away nonetheless. We played at the beach, rode bicycles around the island and played at the pier. However, the best part was just hanging out at the RV and watching a few movies, eating great dinners and playing some games!! We had a blast and can't wait to go back!

Friends, Work, and Millie's

Andrea and Carlos
Alex and her daughters (Kimberly, Kassandra, and Gracia)!!
Priscilla and her beautiful baby girl (Mirella)!!
Darlene and Isabel
Grant and I
Laura and Nicholas
Roman, Nicholas and Karissa

It has been awhile since I blogged, but I did go out with my friends last month. We all work together and eat lunch everyday together. It is always a fun idea to get together after work and go to dinner with the gang (and our kids). I believe there were 12 children and seven adults...you get the idea. I believe the youngest was 3 weeks old and the oldest is 12?? Crazy...you get the idea. Millie's is a restaurant with the average age of the customer being around 86 years old...so the 3-week old took that average down a bit (at least that night).
